House Ants
House ants are tiny, harmless insects that are commonly found in your home. They also go by the names odorous ant, sugar ant, stink ant, or coconut ant. They can live both indoors and outdoors and tend to find themselves stealing crumbs or other food from your kitchen counter or pantry. While they are harmless, they can let off a nasty smell when crushed.
Carpenter Ants
The carpenter ant gets its name from where it likes to make its nest- inside damp or damaged wood. However, unlike termites, carpenter ants don’t eat the wood that they live in. Their bite can be a bit painful and while they don’t eat wood, they can damage it through their nesting habits which can cause property damage.
